A New Kiln is Coming — and the Shelves Are Full

The Pottery Studio is in a familiar kind of limbo — the good kind.

A new kiln is on its way, and while we wait, the throwing wheel hasn't stopped. Bowls, vases, canisters, and closed forms have been stacking up on the shelves, all waiting for their first fire. By the time the new kiln arrives, we'll have more than enough to break it in properly.

There's something satisfying about a full shelf of greenware. Each piece was thrown by hand here in Liberty, Mississippi — shaped, trimmed, and set aside with patience. The glazing comes later, and with it the real magic.

Stay tuned for the kiln's arrival and our first bisque firing. It's going to be a big one.
