About the Pottery Studio

The Pottery Studio at Liberty Tea and Textiles has roots that stretch back to 2020, when the wheel first started spinning in Gold Canyon, Arizona. When we made the move to Liberty, Mississippi in 2024, the studio came with us — and found a home on the family farm where it belongs.

Every piece starts at the wheel — shaped by hand from raw clay into whatever form it wants to become. The studio specializes in vases, lidded jars, and unique forms like rings that don't fit neatly into any category. That's intentional. The most interesting pieces are usually the ones that surprise you halfway through throwing.

Each piece is fired right here on the property in Liberty. No two pieces are exactly alike — the clay, the glaze, and the kiln have their own ideas about how things turn out, and we've learned to work with that rather than against it.
